Financial Assistance and Education
NMCRS can help with everyday living expenses such as rent, food or a car repair, military pay issues, permanent change of station (PCS) support, or medical and dental costs. We offer a range of assistance along with financial education to help you navigate your financial future. Find a Location
Emergency Travel
If you need to travel due to the illness or death of an immediate family member, NMCRS offers expedited service to assist with the cost of transportation. Learn more

When unforeseen natural or human-made incidents happen, NMCRS is there to assist Sailors and Marines. Learn more
Quick Assist Loan
Active duty Sailors or Marines may receive an interest-free loan of up to $1,000 to meet urgent financial needs with a Quick Assist Loan (QAL). Learn more
Who is Eligible?
- Active duty or retired Sailor or Marine
- Eligible family member with military ID card
- Surviving spouse
- Reservist on extended active duty of 30 days or more
What is the Process?
- Find a location near you and reach out to the office. The office will provide additional information to best prepare you for your visit and assistance request.
- Emergency travel and Quick Assist Loan (active duty Sailors and Marines only) do not require appointments and are available by walk-ins.
- Emergency assistance after business hours and holidays are supported through a liaison agreement with the American Red Cross. Please call 1-877-272-7337.
